Set up agency payments (e.g., NYS Retirement)
Set up a pass-through agency so withheld money flows correctly through your Trust & Agency fund.
Set up a pass-through agency — like NYS Retirement — so withheld money flows correctly through your Trust & Agency fund.
Where: Accounts Payable → Select Records → Add/Edit Vendors
Steps
1. Add the agency (e.g., NYS Retirement) as a vendor — see Add or edit a vendor.
2. On the Accounting tab, set the accounts specifically for an agency:
- Debit G/L # = the appropriation (expense) account for that agency — for NYS Retirement, `18.99`.
- Credit G/L # = the A/P account in the T&A fund — `600.99`.

3. Save. When you post an agency invoice, Enhanced automatically credits the cash in Trust & Agency.
> ⚠️ Important: Pay agency invoices from the Payroll bank (checking) account, `200.99`, and process them separately from your other vendor payments. This keeps the correct checking account reduced at the bank.
→ Next step: Enter a vendor invoice for the agency, then pay it in its own payment run.
